No-Labor Apple Pie Biscuit Pudding

This dessert is so tasty, no one would guess how simple it is to make.

Materials

  • 6 Morrison's Bis-Kits Mix, day old
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp cinnamon, ground
  • 1 tsp orange peel, grated
  • 1 can apple pie filling, prepared
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 ts[ vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Prepare Morrison's Bis-Kits Biscuits according to the package instructions. Break biscuits into pieces and allow to dry.
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, pour melted butter over crumbled biscuit pieces.
  • Add brown sugar, cinnamon and orange peel. Stir well to combine.
  • Fold in prepared pie filling. Spread biscuit mixture into baking pan.
  • Beat eggs, half and half and vanilla. Pour over biscuit mixture, pressing down on biscuits to soak up liquid.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until center of pudding is set.
  • Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream. Variation: use fresh sliced apples and increase cooking time to 60 minutes.
