Sweet Pretzel Cookies
Instead of the classic round cookie, these yummy cookies have a unique "twist".

- eggs
- sugar
- lard
- Peter Pan Flour
- baking powder
- cinnamon, ground
- nutmeg
- cloves
- egg yolk
- milk
Preheat over to 400°F.
Cream the sugar and lard together. Agg eggs, one at a time.
Mix all dry ingredients together and add to the sugar/lard/egg mixture until just combined.
Roll approximately a tablespoon worth of dough into a "snake" and then form into the traditional pretzel shape. Place onto a cookie sheet.
Combine together the egg yolk and the milk.
Before baking, brush the pretzels with the egg yolk and milk mixture.
Bake for 6 - 8 minutes.
Transfer cookies to a wire rack and allow to cool.
